Jessica Miller

Founder/Tutor

Jessica Miller began Mindful Ontogeny in 2019 and has been tutoring ever since. She has tutored ages ranging from Kindergarten through high school in subjects including math (including Honors Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, Precalculus, and elementary/middle school), English and Reading, Science (including Physics, Biology, Anatomy, Chemistry, and elementary/middle school), History, Writing, AP courses, Spanish, and more. Jessica has built curriculums and education plans for students, allowing some of these students to move ahead in their school courses. She also has experience working with students with special needs, including those with autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities. Her students have achieved the highest possible marks on standardized tests, significantly improved their grades, learned time management and assignment organization, acquired note-taking and study skills, developed critical analysis skills, grown into free-thinking, ambitious people, and more.

Jessica’s own academic pursuits have prepared her to help equip students today. She has gone through both public, in-person school, as well as virtual, self-paced schooling. She achieved a 35 on her ACT (with the highest score of 36 in the English, Reading, and Science sections), a 1370 on the PSAT, a 5 (highest score) on the AP College Board Exams for AP Calculus and AP U.S. History, a 4 (second highest score) on the AP College Board Exam for AP Statistics, was a National AP Scholar, Graduated Distinguished Honors with over a 4.0 GPA, and tested out of all 4 required Spanish credits for college.

In addition to tutoring, Jessica is a wife to her husband Noah. They enjoy working out together, serving in ministry, and exploring new places. She is also a professional ballet dancer. She danced with Virginia National Ballet as a soloist, and now dances freelance on the side, performing nationally.
